Vulnerable women, children, and communities in Mon State shall be empowered to build their lives with confidence and full capacity.

Mission

To enhance the quality of life for women, children, People Living with HIV, Orphans and Vulnerable Children, and survivors of Gender-Based Violence in Mon State, through health and GBV awareness, institutional capacity building, and essential support services, while upholding positive local cultural values.

Myittasonesee (MTSS) was established on January 3, 2007, in Tharyar Aye Ward, Mawlamyine, Mon State. The organization began as a Self-Help Group of five founding members who united under the concept of Myitta, loving-kindness. The name means "The Meeting of Loving-Kindness," reflecting a commitment to mutual support and community service.

Since its inception, MTSS has evolved from a grassroots group into a professionally managed local Civil Society Organization, capable of leading diverse technical and humanitarian projects. It is recognized as a leading advocate for public health and social protection in Mon State, with a distinguished reputation in HIV/TB prevention and care and the protection of women and children.

Violence Reduction — mitigate violence and abuse against women and children through awareness-raising and robust legal response and protection systems.

Quality of Life Enhancement — improve life outcomes and create inclusive participation opportunities for women, PLHIV, and OVC.

Stakeholder Collaboration — partner with authorities and health departments to ensure community access to HIV/TB and domestic violence awareness and support.

Emergency Response — provide rapid emergency assistance and prevention programming in high-need or crisis-affected areas.
